The people of the Fundación have known the region, its forests, and its wildlife for many years. They work on-site with local communities, landowners, and conservationists to preserve the rainforest and secure valuable habitats for the long term.
Today, together with the Fundación Corcovado, we are supporting cattle ranchers around the park to encourage them to adopt a sustainable form of grazing: holistic pasture management. This method promotes biodiversity and helps to regenerate the soil permanently – because biodiversity doesn't end at the national park boundary.
