Jan-Christoph Oetjen is the deputy chairman of the Committee on Transport and Tourism. He is also the vice-chairman of the Committee on Civil Liberties, Justice and Home Affairs and of the Delegation for relations with the Mashreq countries. Ulrike Müller

Ulrike Müller is the Chairwoman of the Delegation for relations with Australia and New Zealand. She is also vice-chairwoman of the Committee on the Environment, Public Health and Food Safety, the Delegation for relations with the countries of South Asia and the Delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly. Die Familienbetriebe spielen in meinen Augen dabei eine große Rolle. Diese wirtschaften mit Blick auf die künftigen Generationen nachhaltig, sichern die Bereitstellung regionaler Produkte von hoher Qualität und sorgen für die Pflege unserer Kulturlandschaft.

Das Bewusstsein, dass Qualität und Nachhaltigkeit ein Markenzeichen unserer bäuerlichen Landwirtschaft sind, müssen wir gemeinsam stärken. Die Arbeit der Landwirte und die hergestellten Lebensmittel müssen mehr Wertschätzung erfahren. Das ist nicht zu Dumpingpreisen zu haben. Wer vitale ländliche Räume will, muss mithelfen, die Landwirtschaft zukunftssicher zu machen."

Nicola Beer

Nicola Beer is the Vice-President of the European Parliament. She is the President's representative for the Central Asian states. As Vice-President she is responsible for multilingualism and the House of European History (in cooperation with VP Dobrev). Other responsibilities include conciliation procedures (in cooperation with VP McGuinness and VP Barley) and membership of the European Citizens' Prize Registry. She is also a member of the Working Group on Information and Communication Policy and of the Committee for the Follow-up of Exams. She is a member of the Bureau of the European Parliament. In addition, she sits on the Committee on Industry, Research and Energy, and on the Delegation for relations with Israel. She is also a substitute member of the Committee on Economic and Monetary Affairs and a substitute member of the delegation to the ACP-EU Joint Parliamentary Assembly.
