Naturefund and HGON have saved several projects for nature.
In early summer 2008, Naturefund, together with HGON, saved a meadow orchard in the Frankfurt-Harheim area. The meadow verges directly on the Nidda river and the orchard is full of old, huge fruit trees and is covered in oatgrass. The rare Little Owl breeds here. In December 2006 a small Oak forest north of Frankfurt was purchased. The forest comprises young trees and borders the nature conservation area Enkheimer Ried.
In December 2009 both organisations saved a hunting ground for the eagle owl in the Limburg-Weilburg area.
