The beaver land in the Sinn valley is secured! Within a very short period of time, numerous godparents and godmothers have collected the purchase sum for the area of 3,654 m² with their donations. The Society for Nature Conservation and Floodplain Development (GNA) was a partner of Naturefund and became the owner of the area. The GNA will take care of the beaver habitat in the long term.
The animal world in the Sinntal is very diverse. There you can find the black stork, dipper, red-backed shrike, mountain wagtail, sparrowhawk, goshawk, kestrel, buzzard, bullhead, brook lamprey, black-blue antbird, water bat, great evening sailor and the common bat.
The underwater vegetation of the Narrow Sinn offers a wide range of plants such as the brush leaved buttercup, well moss, hook water star and the flat fruiting water star. The herb layer consists of meadow sweet, quaking grass and wood stitchwort. The shrub layer contains parson's cap, grape-cherry, snowball, and willow.
