Kirr island
Naturefund and the National Park Office of Western Pomerania plan to purchase and protect territory on Kirr island. Kirr island and its intact tideway system are a remarkable peculiarity. The vast meadows of common saltmarsh grass provide shelter to numerous endemic and endangered species, for example dunlin or pied avocet. Although it is located within the boundaries of the national park, about half of the island is still in private property. We want to purchase a part of these private areas and protect them forever.
Take part: Five of your Euros will help us to protect ten square metres of Kirr island for the wildlife!
